This week at Waterloo House, Alex Chapman Music & Friends presents a little bit of “Latin lusciousness” (I quote!) in the guise of sax-vocalist, Rory. A local Stroud boy, he studied at the RNCM, where he regularly accompanied The Northern Lights and tootled out Northern Soul along The Great North Way.
The Scrabble Rabble are in fine full fettle; The Bar Hogs have bought a new kettle; The Party Potters' real names are Hansel & Gretel; Sister Georgie's recently been listening to a lot of heavy metal and Paduan Finn got stung by a nettle. It's only Captain Christo, really, that has yet to settle. So do come and show your mettle by joining us all, tomorrow Thursday 21st September, at Nailsworth's best cocktail lounge, winery and public beanbag. We'll see you at 8pm! Free entry.
Live jazz @ SYP in the heart of the city. Post-weekend saudade with Rory (Saxophone, Flute, Vocals) interpreting the Bossa Nova classics of Tom Jobim, Roberto Menescal, Durval Ferreira, Carlos Lyra and others in an intimate blue box. Drop in for a cocktail anytime between 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Free entry.
