Will is a London-based pianist, drummer and percussionist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music. He has appeared as part of many different projects at venues in his home town such as the 606 Club., Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, The Bull's Head and the The Vortex. Will has performed with Clark Tracey, Mark Lockheart, Jean Toussaint, NYJO and, whilst living in Spain, Mario Rossi, Madison McFerrin and Perico Sambeat. During his year in Spain he played in Barcelona, Alicante and Madrid with Cuban trombonist Julio Montalvo and recorded for students at Berklee College of Music in Valencia. He also appeared on two CDs and gave a masterclass at the Sedajazz school. Most recently Will appeared as part of Phronesis bassist Jasper Høiby's new group ‘Qualia’. A small child’s imagination is easily captivated, and for Tom it was the sonorous colours of the brass on the many CDs that his parents used to play that got him excited every time. With an ancestry of brass-banders it was in the blood, and seeing bands playing around Frampton Cotterell was what made him say, “when I grow up, I want to play the trumpet."
In the run up to A celebration of Cuban music at The Jazz Cafe ft. Diáspora12-piece band on 30th October, we're delighted to confirm lead vocalist Rea Qunta.
Rea's vocal style branches everything from jazz, progressive rock, funk and romantic to Celtic folk, Latin, pop and minimalism. Rea won an international songwriting competition in 2005 and last year released a solo album "8 Hours" to great acclaim. "I really believe that music can make the world go round, and that special song or piece has the power to inspire, communicate and translate what otherwise cannot be said in simple words. I feel we have a responsiblity as artists to keep filling the world with light, hope and encourage others to keep creating a better world."

Adrian Garcia is a Mexican born singer-songwriter-producer who's now residing in London, UK. Adrian's music style is a mix of Latin, Pop, Funk, Rock and Electropop. While living in London, Adrian has become a well demanded singer for the Latin music scene of the city and UK. His Mariachi Mexican band Mariachi Fiesta UK is one of the most popular and demanded in the country. As a solo artist, he has been able to perform in some of the most exciting venues for rising musicians, such as; Proud Camden, Lock 17, The Bedford, The Troubadour, Trapeze, Trader Vic's, etc. Plus appearing in online radio stations (Aculco Radio) and BBC Radio (Three Counties Radio) and even had some national TV appearances (MTV commercial for Geordie Shore and ITV show "Odd One In") thanks to his music jobs. Adrian's music is fresh, entertaining and trully enjoyable, same as watching him perform live. Elle se forme à la musique brésilienne à Paris et à Rio de Janeiro, auprès d'Eduardo Lopes, Felipe Abreu (chant populaire brésilien), de l'Escola Portátil de Música, de Lucas Ciavatta (O Passo).
En 2010 elle participe en tant que flûtiste et vocaliste au projet Nimbus Orchestra, sous la direction du flûtiste de jazz Magic Malik. A Paris, elle participe à la création du Collectif Braséine puis cofonde avec le guitariste brésilien José Ferreira le projet poético-musical TRAVESSIAS, consacré aux grands compositeurs du Brésil d'aujourd'hui, tels que Guinga, Egberto Gismonti, Maurício Carrilho... Fin 2014, naît le projet Chora Cléa! navigant entre choro, samba et forró. En 2015, elle s'établit à Londres et rejoint le Clube do Choro UK en tant que coordinatrice, aux côtés de Zé Kouyaté (Gaio de Lima). Début 2016 elle une nouvelle collaboration avec le guitariste brésilien Vitor Celestino (établi à Stockholm), se produisant en Suède (Clube do Choro Sweden), à Paris (Festival de Choro), Londres (Hyde Park)... Développant actuellement un projet de création personnel, entre poésie, jazz et musiques du monde, Cléa collabore également sur scène ou en studio avec de nombreux artistes tels qu'Aurélie et Verioca, Virginie Henry, l'Orchestre de Flûtes Français, Joyce Cândido, Choro with Tea, Karine Huet, Mario Bakuna... |
